Not only is this range beautiful but it is very easy to operate and cooks everything perfectly. I love the griddle to make bacon & pancakes or just use as a trivet. I love the 6 burners to cook several things simulaneously. I love the ease of the touch control panel.

Overall, this stove has met my expectations, but with something at this price point, there could be improvements. The six-burner design with the integrated griddle using the two in the center allows great flexibility, and the 22K burner is excellent. The ability of all the burners to go very low is excellent. The oven heats fast and the front stays cool to the touch, even with the extra-large glass. I had an old Thermadore, and cooking on the Cafà stove is a real upgrade. Now for the issues with the stove: ™€ The user interface should be more intuitive, considering it is a touch screen. The clock in the middle and the timer should be bolder so it can be seen more easily. It's too tight as is. I have a cafà Advantium that has a much better display. Having to see an instruction by number and then pressing the number is so counter-intuitive. Finally, it would be great if the display showed the burners that are in use with an icon. It's hard to see the knbs being turned when they are halfway rotated. (of course, a light above each knob would be better. Maybe you guys are holding back on the UI for your Profile products, but it is an inexpensive addition to a great stove. ™€ Programmable features are nice, but they should be more than hype. The "Air Fryer" upgrade recently offered isn't anywhere near like a real air fryer, for example. ™€ I wish the oven interior were lit much brighter, and considering today's lighting options, it should have been a no-brainer. ™€ The interactivity aspects for this stove are useful, but setting it up was a nightmare. Good thing there was excellent phone support. The code for the unit was hidden so well, it took ages to find it. But using a third-party app with plenty of ads is a terrible idea. Overall, it is a wonderful stove to work on, but if you're loading it with modern amenities like interactivity and programmable upgrades, the least you could do is create an interface as good as the rest of the product.

Have to tweak times with air fryer compared to my countertop unit but am thrilled to not have another appliance on my countertop. We bought a Cafe dishwasher and have been very happy with that. That™€™s the reason we bought this range when we redid our kitchen.

Horrible design for keeping stovetop clean

I love cooking on my new gas stove. However I have a major complaint about the deign. First, there is a seam with screws and gaps at the front just in front of the burners where the control panel attaches to the stovetop. Cumbs and grease collect daily, and make it nearly impossible to clean. Second, the place where the oven vents is just behind the back left burner. Steam and cooking particles from baking (I frequently use convection roast) come out of the vent and leave a dark sticky residue on the vent and cooktop. The venting is expected, but the design of the stove makes the cleaning in back also extremely difficult. There are several vent spaces and sharp edges and curves that are difficult to clean around.

Overall we are happy with this stove. The burners are wicked hot and will get some time to get use to it. The mobile app seems like it could be better and faster to respond when we are both on the same network. The 3rd oven shelf is awesome but it's not fun to store when it's on the way and needs to be removed. The biggest downside to this stove is the wide area between the controls and the burners, it is forever getting dirty and requiring to be cleaned. Maybe stainless wasn't the best material for this area? We only used the air fryer feature once so far, I plan to use it more often. The plumber required several additional parts in order to connect the flex gas line, whereas the stove that was removed already had those parts installed by the factory.

We did our research before purchasing this Cafe gas range, and I™€™m pleased to say the entire experience was amazing. Purchased on a good sale from Costco.com. Set up the delivery date, was kept informed of delivery times and install time, which were by different vendors. Delivery the following week was smooth. Installer was running late, but kept us informed and was quick and efficient once he did arrive. There was a little smell the first time we ran it, but quickly disappeared. Love the 6 burners, great fast heat and easy to clean cooktop. Oven is nearly silent. Air fryer mode works well, haven™€™t tried the broiler yet.

Everything works great except it does not display a timer. Stupid! The timer only works for oven and not stove top. Poor decision! When using the oven you can use the timer but it only able to see on your smart phone connect. The person responsible for this obviously has never used a stove.

Bad igniter

The oven we got seemed to have a broken of igniter. Had GE technician come out and he said it was a gas issue. Paid a gas plumber $200 and he changed the flex tube. Oven still did the same thing - a loud pop sound and flame flash after a few minutes of turning the oven on. The pop was so strong it shook the door open. Finally, Costco agreed to replace the range. The new range/oven seems to be working fine. I like the variety of burners and the look of the range. I think the first was just defective.

Day one, so far very happy, only suggestion is to provide air fryer basket with the appliances. Additionally it is my suggestion to consider higher quality of protective wraps as my oven arrived with scratches on the stainless steel facings, discouraging to spend high dollar purchase and have cosmetic issues at install. Appreciate Costco for offering a compensation or it would have been returned.

I™€™m so torn about this range oven. I love the stovetop, the handles, burners, everything about it. But the oven, even though it cooks well, is a total fluke. The racks don™€™t slide in and out smoothly, there™€™s no lip in the back of the racks and the oven pans or trays or sheets slide around when trying to pull the racks out. so there™€™s always a possibility they slide back and fall behind the rack. Also the racks are scratching up the part that holds it. Ovens been a total mess since day one and I™€™m really upset about it considering it™€™s Cafe and I had high expectations.

Solid performance but some issues

So far the range's performance has been solid. The oven works great as well. It doesn't get a 5 star rating for two main reasons. The front buttons activate during cleaning (it isn't clear this can be avoided). The second reason is that the clock keeps switching back to EST time when I already updated it to DST time. This seems to be a bug that must be resolved.

So after dealing with 2 other brands that arrived new but didn™€™t work for various defective issues such as the oven not igniting or holding temperature we settled on the GE Cafe as a more higher end range that so far has worked except for one issue. When using any burner or combination of burners or the oven there is a high pitched wine emanating from the back of the stove. After disconnecting the gas line, checking all the fittings and reconnecting the line the noise is still persistent. That is until the oven reaches the desired temperature. The stove top burners will have this noise for the duration of use. So far GE has not responded and the retailer is doing their best to find a solution but after two other stoves returned in the span of two weeks I just want this to work if for the only reason as to defend the world against the girlfriends wrath if this problem isn™€™t solved in the very near future. I will be back to update this review if the problem is solved.
